CureDM are delighted to attend the 15th International Myotonic Dystrophy Consortium. The IDMC is the worlds largest Myotonic Dystrophy scientific conference, held every 2 years. This year it is being held in Saguenay, Canada – where DM is prevelant in around 1 in 600 people (Mathieu and Pr\u00e9vost, 2012<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are delighted to be able to offer 2x \u00a31000 prizes, for the best poster presentation and oral presentation on Congenital Myotonic Dystrophy. We are able to offer this encouragement for CDM research because of a generous donation received for this specific reason – THANK YOU. Thank you also to the CureDM Together Campaign<\/a> Together for Toby<\/a> who also contributed towards the prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

28.05.2026: Pete Ashley on LinkedIn –<\/span><\/strong> Great start at the IDMC-15 – International Myotonic Dystrophy Consortium Meeting<\/a> for Cure Myotonic Dystrophy UK Charity<\/a>. Two 14 hour days with breaks and lunches skipped for meetings, it feels like we’ve been here a week already! Such an amazing gathering of over 400 people working together for the DM community!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are delighted to officially welcome Dr Nikolenko to the CureDM Team, after working together for many years on advancing research and awareness into DM.
