In memory Donations.

Donate in Memory of a Loved One

We know how devastating it is when you lose someone dear, and at CureDM, this understanding is very close to our hearts. As a rare disease charity, every trustee of CureDM has experienced the challenges of Myotonic Dystrophy firsthand within their own families. We truly appreciate you thinking of us during such a tender moment, and we thank you for considering a gift that helps us to support those in our community.

How to Make a Memorial Donation

  1. Online Donation: You can send a donation via PAYPAL or JUSTGIVING by clicking the links. If possible, please include the name of your loved one, and send us an email (curedm@outlook.com) so we can acknowledge your thoughtful gift.
  2. Bank Transfer: If you would like to donate direct to the Charity Bank account – please email us on curedm@outlook.com and we will provide bank details.
  3. By Post: Send a cheque, along with a note letting us know who you’re remembering. Payable to: Cure Myotonic Dystrophy UK Charity, and sent to our registered address: Riverside View, Station Rd, Whitton, DN15 9LR
  4. Fundraise in Their Memory: Honour your loved one by organising a walk, bake sale, or another event, and donate the proceeds to CureDM. You can set up your own fundraising page via JUSTGIVING. Please also email us to share your plans — we’ll be delighted to support you and share your story.
  5. Create a Tribute: CureDM are partnered with MUCHLOVED website, where you can create beautiful tributes to your loved one, and nominate Cure Myotonic Dystrophy UK Charity as your chosen cause to support.
  6. Gift Aid: If you are a UK taxpayer, your donation will be eligible for gift aid, which increases the amount by 25% at no cost to yourself. We can claim this directly form the UK Government on your behalf. Please let us know if you are eligible when you donate.
